Before the Camera, Before the Stories

I’m a Ghanaian visual storyteller, photographer, and intersectional documentary filmmaker whose work explores identity, memory, representation and belonging. I work across documentary film, photography, and advocacy-centered productions, creating visual narratives centered on human dignity and experiences often overlooked in dominant cultural narratives.
My approach is rooted in observation, emotional honesty and an interest in how people are represented and remembered. Much of my work focuses on women, girls and marginalized communities whose lives and experiences are often overlooked. I’m interested in stories that make room for complexity and allow people to be encountered on their own terms.
For me, storytelling is not simply about producing visuals. It is about witnessing people with care.
Alongside my visual storytelling practice, I work in media and communication strategy, helping brands, organizations and advocacy-centered initiatives develop clearer narratives and more intentional ways of communicating. Across both practices, I’m interested in how stories are shaped, understood and experienced.
Because storytelling is never neutral. Art is my protest. Representation is my mission. Visibility is revolution.
